The Miles Gloriosus Wargames group of Rome is one of those gangs of ‘slightly strange guys who go on playing soldiers long after childhood, simulating military events from every era on the table’ (lest there be any misunderstanding, the definition comes from one of their emails).

A while ago they contacted us, saying,
‘…we got very excited about your novel and, always looking for something new, we started our ‘Manituana project’, a group work trying to recreate some of the situations described in the book. After a few months’ work, we have the pleasure to present a board game, open to everyone, with a scenario set during the people, involving an attack by some bands of loyalist Indians on settler farms.

The Convention Hellana 08, a group of all the devotees of the genre, was held last 6 April in Agliana in Tuscany. On that occasion, Miles Gloriosus presented its scenario, with lots of hand-made little soldiers. On the right, the gallery of photographs. So, Manituana won the prize for most original script. We are very proud of this umpteenth transmedia sequel to the novel, and we express our heartfelt thanks to Miles Gloriosus. The adventure of Joseph Brant and Philip Lacroix is exploding into an orgy of embers falling, setting fire to/fertilizing brains/ovums and making forests of light grow.
