'When I suggested AAAAnalogia for the Manituana website, Wu Ming 1 wrote back:

Hello Marco, this is interesting, but, er, I can hardly find any reference to Manituana. Could you explain what you did?

In fact, I haven't got much to explain.
The Futurists said that analogy is "the love that links even the most distant things".
I collected and manipulated fragments of sounds coming from cultures where tradition and narration depend almost exclusively on orality. Fragments of Arabian, Native American, Sardinian and Gypsy voices... The sounds were put in a sequence by ΒΌ tones and then re-played using computers and samplers.
Of course I did this with Manituana in mind, but it isn't explicitly linked to any episode or character of the novel.
The result sounded to me like one of the possible sound tracks of the book.
My name is Marco Bertoni, I was born in Bologna in 1961 and I still work in this town as a musicians and independent producer. When I was about 16 (in 1979) I started express my creativity as a keyboard player in a band called Confusional Quartet. Since then I have always worked in music, playing and producing all kinds of genres. Recently I've produced bands such as Fiamma Fumana and Motel Connection. I also co-operate with several Djs and emerging musicians.'
